The authors conducted a statistical analysis of the dates in
which 1379 patients which were diagnosed with pityriasis rosea
(and psoriasis) in 3 different locations: Kuwait, Minnesota, and
Diyarbakir, Turkey.
The authors found that there was 3 significant clustering of
dates of patients coming in for pityriasis rosea treatment –
there was also 1 negative cluster (where less patients come to
seek treatment). In contrast, they found no clustering of dates
of patients seeking treatment for psoriasis.
